The BlackBerry Z10 has been praised for maintaining the traditional aspects of the firm's smartphone offerings at the same time as bringing them bang up to date with modern innovations.
It is the first of a brand new generation of BlackBerry devices and it has now been made available to customers of network carrier Three.
While the software boasts all the staple BlackBerry features, it is all packed into a much more contemporary smartphone design, with a large 4.2-inch touchscreen display.
The user interface has been designed to make things much quicker and easier to do than they have been on previous BlackBerry smartphones.
Messages can be opened and read with just one swipe of the finger - and replies can be composed or the message can be closed down with just one more swipe.
The onscreen virtual keyboard makes typing a simple process - and it discretely tucks itself away when it is not in use. But best of all it can learn to adapt itself to the way the user types.
BBM has been completely revamped, which makes it much easier to keep in touch with friends, family and loved ones.
Sharing content over BBM has also been simplified - and new features like BBM Video have been integrated.
This allows people to keep communicate face-to-face through increasingly popular video calling.
"The BlackBerry Z10 is ideal for those looking for a smartphone that combines the best aspects of a traditional BlackBerry device with modern and innovative features," commented head of devices at Three Sylvia Chind.
"Along with our great range tariffs offering All You Can Eat data without the worry of incurring extra data charges, users on Three will benefit from the ultimate internet experience," she continued.
Indeed, the handset has already been praised by a raft of celebrities.
Comedian Richard Blackwood - who is currently starring in the West End adaptation of Shrek - tweeted: "Just picked up the new Blackberry Z10! This phone is too emotional, I think I've cried twice!"
