Amazon has launched an app for a Cloud Player App for the Apple iPhone - and it is also available for the iPad and the iPod Touch.
It allows customers to stream and download music that they have stored in their online Cloud Player, as well as facilitating the management of music and files already on the device.
A study recently conducted by ABI Research found that apps are being increasingly used for entertainment purposes and 31 downloads per product per year is forecast among users of Apple products.
Vice-president of digital music for Amazon Steve Boom claimed that his organisation's latest digital product is a response to this kind of high demand.
He specified that people seem to want to access music wherever they are at all times of the day.
"By bringing Cloud Player to iPhone and iPod touch, we now have the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available, giving our customers the ability to buy once and enjoy their music everywhere," Mr Boom commented.
