The latest version of the Samsung Galaxy has been described as a stylish and powerful smartphone.

Samsung's latest flagship mobile device - the Galaxy S Advance - has been described as offering a technological experience unlike any other.

Head of handsets at Three Sylvia Chind claimed it "combines eye-catching design with powerful technology specs that make for an outstanding smartphone experience".

The product will be made available to customers of her network carrier in the near future, with the expert going on to suggest this will be a desirable option, as Three is said to offer a particularly fast 3G network.

"Videos will download quickly so you won’t be left in the dark waiting for the latest movie trailers to download," Ms Chind remarked.

This may be a high priority for smartphone users who intend to purchase the latest version of the device, as high definition (HD) images are displayed on a 400x800 resolution super AMOLED four inch screen.

Video capture is a possibility on the handset as well, which is also in 720p HD, in addition to crisp images on the five megapixel camera.

Content is said to be brought to life on the screen, which is housed in curved glass casing that is described as enhancing usability on-the-go.

Application start-ups have a very short load time, thanks to a dual core 1.0GHz processor, running Google's Android 2.3 operating system - also known as Gingerbread.

However, it is possible the product could be upgraded to function with the more recent version of Android - Ice Cream Sandwich - which was launched on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone.

JK Shin, president of the IT and mobile communications division at Samsung, claimed the Galaxy S Advance "adds to the successful track record of the Galaxy smartphone range with a phone that combines power and style with all the versatility of Samsung's Hub services", referring to the manufacturer's cross-platform software service.
